Karna is dead, and there are no doubts or vain regrets. However, as a perfect creature of Pure primordial Darkness, even after death it continues to paroxysmally emit spawns of its heritage, whose prehensile tentacles are woven deeply into the fabric of our Cosmos.
«Nekronautica» is a compilation of different, shattered, sharpened splints of Karna inanimate legacy taken together to let to take a kind of journey somebody who for some weird reason wants or needs of it, but nobody can guarantee any probability of return. Unlike other compilations, «Nekronautica» doesn’t sum up any terms, or provide any conclusion or essence, it is just a door to those Darkness of which was told so much, but which become fearfully real only after death, and there is no matter whose.
Let’s listen what Horth says about «Nekronautica»:
Omega
… material from this mini-album was fully included in 2CD split with Melek-Tha entitled «Ave Satani». Ludo has randomly interchanged Karna’s tracks with his own ones, and that violates the original concept a bit. But who cared of it then? Precisely not me. It is interesting that «Omega» was written much earlier for another split – joint album with Sunchariot and Mortart, which, as it often happens, was dead unborn.
«Scars» was re-recorded in 2011 specially for «Nekronautica».
Dead Screaming Forest
A kind of homage that I gave to imperishable masterpiece made by Sam Raimi. I am talking, of course, about Evil Dead. A wonderful movie with unsurpassed atmosphere.
Solitude
…was recorded for 7’’ EP that had never been released. This is very private release that demand only a few special words to describe. «Solitude» is devoted to my mother, who almost didn’t leave our humble flat on the industrial periphery of little town since my father had been dead in 1998. She died at September 19, 2010 and outlast him for long twelve years…
Pure
… track was specially recorded for this provocative compilation released in only 32 copies. It is a distinctive composition for Karna – oppressive atmospheric ambient breaking away to death industrial with a voice of Colder Than Moon guitar player Morlock’s junior daughter. Girl did her best, and her father simultaneously sat nearby in headphones and recorded Karna’s cover to Immortal that was included in «Fucking Ancient Darkness».
Faceless
…was incidentally found in archives. It was mysteriously lost just after its recording for reasons that are veiled even from me. It was recorded by me and Kjetthaar approximately at the same time that «Awakening» and «Diabolic» was, and something hints me that it is not that last surprise of such kind…
For every smart person it is obvious to don’t want to face with its own subconscious, and there is no need to say about meeting with somebody else’s one. This kind of journey on the hollow corridor with a number of old creaky doors you definitely can’t recognize keep the secrets you never will be close to, so the only exit for you is a next door?... contemplation?... escape?... We don’t know.
